QUESTION: ill get new bulbs but they work just fine. they ohm out they work in different sockets. if i ohm out my brake/warning flashers they ohm out so there a dead short some where. i trace all the wires making sure they wasn't damaged, they run to a junction block under the hood on the right side of the engine now the male end of the harness is 3in1 combined to fit the female end well the tar has melted out of the connecters due to the dead short also it sucks my battery dry. now all of this first happed when i backed my trailer into a pole and busted the lights out. can you think of any other parts that the brake/warning wires run through? well thanks for your response. i would greatly appreciate it if you can provide me with more info.

Answer
Hi
Brake lights run from the STOP/HAZ fuse to the stop lamp switch located on the pedal. The white wire then go up the steering column to the turn signal switch, and come back down as a green and yellow wire,  go thruogh the cowl/ip connector (C101). The Green and yellow then go to a 4 way connector C400 and then split and go to either the left or right side stop lamp light. They use common ground G410 located on the left frame rail. This is the stop lamp circuit. Check the stop lamp switch.
Be careful ohming wires, make sure EVERYTHING is unplugged so you dont get a false short.
I hope this helps.
