GMC Repair: Back door will not open, gmc safari, safari van

I cannot open the back door on a 1992 GMC Safari Van.  The door unlocks but the door opening mechanism will not open the door.  I've tried to get access through the inside but not sure how to take the interior trim off.  Do you have any suggestions how to get this door working?

JUST going from memory I think you take screws out from around rear door panel. Take any screws out from any door pulls if applicable.
Then I believe you can just try to get something between the door panel and door to "Pop" out the door panel clips.
They should just pop out.
Then you should be able to access all the mechanisms to open door.
If in doubt, take it to a repair facility YOUR familiar with and trust.
This is JUST advise from experience.
