Question
Hello, I have a 2002 gmc envoy and the inside door handle is coming loose, whats the best way to take this apart to repair it, is there a diagram available to view this

Thanks in advance

Answer
Hi
I have looked through manuals looks like the replacement of handle is your only option. I also checked with GM Parts and parts of handle are also N/A.
To Do this you'll have to remove the Inside door panel.
Remove the accessory switch panel.
Remove the 2 trim panel retaining bolts (located under the small trim plate at inside door pull area of panel)
Use a flat bladed Door panel removal tool in order to release the 9 trim panel fasteners from the door.
Remove the trim panel from the door.
Remove the inside door handle bezel.
Remove the outside rear view mirror (ORVM) switch, if equipped.
Then-
Remove the water deflector. (Thick black, flexable plastic cover)
Remove the handle retaining bolt.
Release the handle locator tab from the locator cutout, by sliding the handle forward.
Release the rod retainer locks.
Remove the rods from the handle.
Remove the handle from the door.
Installation is opposite from removal.
Hope this helps.

Good Luck
