GMC Repair: 97 Suburban radio, fuse panel, orange wire

Question
I tried to start my suburban and the battery was bad when I installed a new battery the radio now has no power.  I have checked the fuses and they are good.  Do you have any ideas.

Answer
If the RADIO and the RADIO BATT fuses in the fuse panel are both good, then you will need to remove the radio and check for power and ground.

Check for battery power on the orange wire in the black connector and for ignition power on the yellow wire. Then check for ground on the black wire in the black connector, if these are all good then you have a bad radio. If the fuses are good and there is no power at the connector then you have a wiring problem and if you don't have a good ground then there is a problem with that wire.
