what procedure must I follow, I purchesed new replacment. thanks

Answer
Take the door panel off with the window up. There are only 2 screws in the door panel and they are in the pull handle. However there are alot of clips around the doors edge, and they are some of the hardest to dislocate. You will need a door panel tool of some sort, and just go aroung the door panel and carefully pry it away from the door. This type of retainer makes a loud pop when it releases and it sounds like you just broke something, so don't be alarmed, but be careful.

You will have to take out 2 10mm bolts. When you get the bolts out, rock the handle outward, and disconnect the handle linkage. From the inside of the door you need to remove the u shaped retainer for the lock cylinder, you can leave the linkage attached to it and just pull the cylinder out of the handle. Once you have it out, you will need to bend the door metal in just a little where the handle will not go in very well, you will know it when you get there. If you stop and just bend it where the handle will cover it up it will go in very easy and you won't scratch the paint.
