GMC Repair: 1994 Pontiac Bonneville, fastening hardware, rear struts

Question
I need good "how-to" advise on replacing front and rear struts on my '94 Bonnie.  I've haven't done struts before and I would like to get good advice so that I can avoid possible pit falls.  I am handy/ mechanically inclined and have no doubt that I can handle this job.  The model is a SE, six cylinder, 3.8L.  No ELC.  I know the replacement of the upper bearing plate and related fastening hardware is recommended.  What other expert advice do you offer?

Answer
hello ed
thire 2 bolts on the botton 3 bolts on the top .

just remove them and knock the strut out and a long breaker bar and a 1/2 rachet will do the trick
and you will need to have the springs installed on new struts.

they do sell a tool to comprose the springs

u would have to call a parts store .

good luck to u pete
