GMC Repair: Heads replaced, head gasket, ford explorer

Question
Hi Pete, I have a 95 ford explorer, I took it to a shop, because it was leaking water, they told me a leak in the manfold, then called me and said a head gasket, then call and told me the heads were broken.  After they replaced the heads, I'm using 3+ quarts of oil a week, and my engine light comes on. Question.
1.  What do you recomment I should do to fix the problem, and what do you think is the problem.
Thanks,  Tom
