GMC Repair: Oil Filter Ring Blowing Out, chevrolet 350, filter ring

Question
What could cause an oil filter ring to blow out on a Chevrolet 350?  While driving home one blew out, and I immediately replaced the filter and oil, hoping that was the problem.  As soon as I pulled off the same thing happened again.  Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated!

to much oil pressuier did the another thing how are the treads where the oil filter screws on to the shaft make sure you try this and i would use a fram filter they are good filters if you are useing the cheaper filters they will do just that please rate my serivice and if does not work with fram then get back to me please rate my serivice pete
