GMC Repair: Jimmy stalling problem, airbag warning light, vacuum line

Question
I have a 1997 GMC Jimmy 4WD that is well maintained, with 47,000 miles.  Within the last couple of weeks a strange phenomenon has occurred three times.  I start out first thing in the morning and within two blocks from home, the engine momentarily stalls, starts up again and then the airbag warning light starts to blink.  It will continue blinking for about 10 seconds and the stay off.  No further problems will occur for the rest of the day.  The engine is not warmed up before I leave in the morning, but I wait until all the warning lights are out and I can see normal oil pressure.  The Jimmy has not been in any accidents, and is faithfully maintained at our local GM dealer.  Any ideas what is going on?

Thanks for your help,

Peter

Answer
Intermittents are the most difficult problems to resolve.

What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made as a vacuum line may have been knocked loose or a wire connection came loose, Look around in the area where work was performed..
