GMC Repair: Conking out., chevy corsica, 1993 chevy corsica

Question
I have a 1993 Chevy Corsica six cylinder automatic.  When i drive the vehicle around town for short trips i have no problems.  However, when I drive for about 30 mninutes straight and then stop at a stop sign the vehcile just conks out.  It starts up right away but when i put it into gear it conks out again.  If i put it into nuetral, rev it up and pop it into drive it will run okay for a little while but will conk out at the next stop.  After it sits for awhile with the engine off then it will be okay until i drive it for about 30 minutes again. Then it will conk out again.   I would appreciate any help you could give me.  Thanks in advance.

Answer
disconnect the 3 or 4 wire SQUARE electrical plug that plugs into the transmission and drive the car. If the problem is resolved, Your fault is most likely the TORQUE CONVERTER SOLENOID within the transmission that will need to be replaced.
