GMC Repair: Lumina Z34 vibration on hard acceleration, chevy lumina z34, bad cv joints

Question
My problem is the following. I have a 93 Chevy Lumina Z34 w/ a 3.4 DOHC engine, auto tranny. It has 83K+ miles and when you accelerate "hard" from a dead stop, the car rattles or vibrates for a good 20-50 feet. Afterwards the car doenst vibrate like this, also there seems to be a clancking noise when I turn the steering wheel making turns. Would all of these symptoms relate to bad CV-joints?
If so, to remove the cv joints, I would have to use a slide puller to pull them out?
Thanks!

Answer
It could be CV-Joints, Ball joints UPPER and or LOWER or BOTH. You could also have loose idler arm(s).

IF this vehicle is an ALL_WHEEL drive vehicle I have seen many worn TRANSFER CASE CHAINS.

The transfer case chain can be compared to your bicycles chain when it got loose and skipper on hard pulls up steep inclines and you simply loosened the axle nuts, Pulled the axle back and tightened the chain.

Unfortunately, You CANNOT adjust a transfer case chain it MUST be replaced .

The chain runs about $150 and time to put it in is about 3 to 4 hours.

NO you do NOT use a puller.
