GMC Repair: 1999 Yukon problems, coolant temp, oxygen sensors

Question
I have a 1999 Yukon, 2WD with 5.7 engine with 135000 miles.  I have a intermittent problem with it starting.  Usually after filling the gas tank, it will crank and go dead.  It will evetually start and run fine.  I have replaced the fuel pump and filter.  The mechanic can't find anything wrong because the computer has not stored any codes, since the check engine light has not come on.  The engine idles at 500 RPM and until the next time it decides not to start, it runs great.  This past Sunday, it would not start for church and after church it still would not start.  At 5:30 pm., it started immediately and has run fine ever since.  Could my problem by water in the gas or possibly a computer problem.  Help, I don't want to trade my problem to someone else.  I have already replaced the Oxygen sensors and the coolant temp sensor.  Everything else is original equipment. I also installed a H&N filter approx. 100k miles ago and it has been maintained.

Answer
Everytime a mechanic who lacks the expertise to work on a computerized vehicle and he can't resolve the problem, The last words out of his mouth are:

IT MUST BE A COMPUTER PROBLEM AND ONLY THE DEALER HAS THE EQUIPMENT TO TEST IT.

This is basically a round about way of saying, I DON'T HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT I AM DOING.

True, Intermittents are hard to find and resolve, But they CAN be found IF the technician has the expertise and patience to perform the tests to find it.

Unfortunately, this is becoming a dying breed of experts and I am seriously thinking about coming out of retirement to FIX all the UNFIXABLE vehicles.

I still do some UNFIXABLES locally for some dealers and private shops in my 100 mile radius of my place, BUT, I am very expensive to hire.

On ocassion I will travel to FIX these UNFIXABLES on occassion.

I have purchased many of these UNFIXABLES and brought them back to my place on my car trailer and repair the vehicle and either keep it or sell it.

If your interested in hiringme to fix the problem or to purchase the vehicle in it's present state of problems, Contact me at:
