GMC Repair: Spark, minute intervals, fuel pump

My 1993 Yukon was running fine and all of a sudden it flooded and shut off. Now it won't start, it will roll over but there is no spark and no noise in the fuel pump. Where should we start?

Have a helper LISTEN at the fuel tank for a TWO SECOND fuel pump run when you turn the ignition switch to the ON position ONLY. DO NOT attempt to start the engine. Try this several times over 5 minute intervals and let me know IF you hear the fuel pump run for ONLY the TWO SECONDS and then stop running.
