GMC Repair: Stalls while idling, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
2000 Buick Regal
I have experianced 3 times, over 2 months, my vehicle stalling when I come to a stop. The first 2 occurances the vehicle started fine. The third it took three tries before restarting. A few months ago I had the mass air flow sensor replaced and the plugs and wires changed, but this has happened since.
I thought the first two times this happened that I was low on gas and by stopping too abruptly somehow restricted gas flow, but the last time it happened I had a full tank.
I am wondering if it's as easy as a fuel filter, or adding some fuel line conditioner to the tank.
Thank you in advance for any input.

Answer
If you did NOT have this problem BEFORE the MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR was installed, You could possibly have an intermittent faulty mass air flow sensor. This sensor is known for failures. I have taken many right out of the factory sealed box that were faulty.

Another possible fault is a normal buildup of residue around the throttle plate area and within the idle air circuit.

This would need to be cleaned by a professional automotive technician as it is a common re-occurring problem.

I, Personally, Add a can of DRY GAS to the fuel tanks of my vehicles every 3 months to break up any water molecules that naturally occur thru normal condensation. The dry gas breaks up the molecular structure of the water and allows it to pass thru the micron fuel filter at the base of the fuel pump and burns it thru the combustion chambers and out thru the exhaust.

This will NOT cure your problem, But it is good preventative maintenance.
