GMC Repair: General question, jeep questions, wiper motor

My windshield wipers occassionally stop working. I initially thought it was a fuse, but they work some of the time. Do you know what the problem could be? I mean this as a general question, because I own a Jeep. There are no Jeep experts. I would appreciate any help you can give me, considering I am not mechanically inclined.

Make sure that the bolts that hold the wiper motor to the vehicles are CLEAN & TIGHT as usually one of the bolts has the metal GROUND STRAP on one of the bolts and the bolt is either loose and or has a corroded connection under the bolt.

This is a major GM problem, As I get very few Jeep questions, But this is where I would START my diagnosis.
