GMC Repair: 2002 GMC Yukon XL, gmc yukon xl, gmc yukon

Question
The car is a 2002 GMC Yukon XL SLT made in the US.

1.  My vehicle is consistently making a low buzzing sound coming from the front right side.  It's especially noticable when I make left turns.  It's kind of a buzzing, vibrating noise...sounds like when you move a desk across a tiled floor.

2.  My right passenger side window is also not working.  It makes the clicking sound when you try to use the button, but the window doesn't move.  I've tried the driver's button as well as the button on the door itself....same results, click, but no movement.

Any clues?

Answer
Without actually hearing this buzzing noise, I can't think of any one thing that would stand out as being the cause. You will need to have someone hear this noise personally.

As to your window problem, If I am not mistaken, GM still uses a PLASTIC TAPE RIBBON (similar to a chain to run thru the gear in the window motor to lift and lower the window. Most likely the tape has broken and requires removal of the inside door trim panel to replace the tape.
