GMC Repair: Slow to Start, chevy silverado, pressure and volume

Question
I have an '00 Chevy Silverado, 4.8L. When I go to crank it, it does
not turn over right away. It cranks and cranks, and when I give a
few pumps on the accelerator, it will turn over after about 5-10
seconds. It only has 42,000 miles, spark plugs that are two years
old, and I just put some fuel injector cleaner through it. I don't
think that it's the starter because it cranks just fine. Any ideas?
Thank you.

Answer
The first thing to do is ti test the amperage output of the battery.

Next would be the amperage draw of the starter.

Third would be to verify fuel pressure and volume.

Unless you have the equipment to perform these tests, You will be just guessing at what it could be.
