GMC Repair: How Do You Test This IAC Valve., minits, side motion

How Do You Test And Set This Valve.?The Engine Will Idel After About 5 Minits Of Warm Up.The Valve Seemes To Work If You Put A Load On The Motor She Will Bring The Idel Up.Have You Every Heard Of The Intake Manafold Being Pluged On The Exaust Runners?

Yeah I have heard of it on pre-electronic engines, But personally have never seen one TOTALLY PLUGGED.

1. Remove the IAC.

2. Hold the base of the IAC firmly.

3. Push "IN" the pintle end in a side to side motion until it retracts.

4. Check for any scuffing on the pintle. It should be a very smoth surface.

5. Using a flshlight check inside of the throttle body of where the pintlr SEATS and inspect for debris, roughness or damage as it also should be a very smooth surface.

Chances are, Without me actually seeing the IAC is that it is damaged internally.
