GMC Repair: Suspension problems?, spray lubricant, wheel alignment

Question
I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am with 95,000 miles on it, I have done all recommend repairs and have kept the vehicle in very good condition.  MOstly all highway miles. Recently I had a tune-up and wheel alignment  done at one place and a window track kit replaced at another.  At both places I asked them to check and see why everything is creeking and squeeking in the front when I brake and sometimes in the back when it is raining or damp. Neither place could find anything wrong, brakes are good, routers good.  I recently had an oil change done and aked about lubing it or greasing and they said cars are not made that way and that I should take it to a dealer.  I have not always had good luck with dealers and thought maybe you could shed some light on this situation.   Thank you, Karen

Answer
Most of the newer cars do not require greasing as the older cars did. However, Some manufacturers still have areas that DO require greasing and there is a small metal or plastic plug that on some models you remove and install a grease fitting. Most lube shops and some lazy dealers service departments do not want to take the time or effort to install the grease fttings and grease it.

If there are NO greasing needed as with some models, I always spray some aerosol lubricant on all of the RUBBER busshings on all of the underside of the vehicle.

Again, Laziness runs comes in and they don't do it.

Your noise could just be dry bushings that need spray lubricant or something else.

Without hearing and seeing it myself, I can't tell you WHAT it is.
