GMC Repair: Coolant leak, 96 cutlass V6, 3100., radiator pressure tester, intake manifold gasket

Question
Hello, just noticed coolant leaking in the area of the thermostat, and I don't think the problem is there. (After reading about this type of problem, it seems that the lower intake manifold gasket may be the culprit) I have checked the oil and there is no sign of any coolant has mixed in.
I would like to know if there is anything else I can check out before I start digging?
If I do have to dig, is there any special procedure or precautions I need to know about?
If the lower intake manifold gasket needs to be replaced, could you list all the parts I would need to replace for this procedure?
         Thank you, Tony.

Answer
You can purchase a RADIATOR PRESSURE TESTER from any auto parts store and at some auto parts stores they will rent you one.

All you do is:

1. Remove the radiator cap from the vehicle.

2. Install the pressure tester hose to the radiator.

3. On the radiator cap it says MAXIMUM PRESSURE IS 12 or 14
  or some other pressure.

4. When you pump up the pressure tester watch the gage on
the tester and do NOT exceed the amount of pounds as
  stated on the radiator cap.

5. Watch to see where your leak is and let me know.
