GMC Repair: now it wont stay running...., chevy blazer, egr valve

Question
I have a 94 chevy blazer s10 the smaller one... 6 cyl (vin w/ a W) 3.1 liter... I have had numerous problems with it... and seem to be whittling away at them... the egr valve was bad, but nobody could figure it out so a lot of minor things were repaired in the meantime, fuel filter, etc... anyway... just had the egr valve replaced. the starter went out, replaced that, it has a brand new water pump as well. One of the things during the search for the egr problem that was done was a tune up, they did not tighten the dist cap well and the next day it would not start, this has been corrected. On Friday I had a complete exhaust put in because it was recommended due to driving with the bad egr valve for a prolonged time, they put a cat, muffler (it had a hole) new pipe & tail pipe, they forgot to install the O2 sensor I brought them, but said they would when I bring it back in, the very next day the car would turn over but not catch and stay running... is it at all possible the O2 sensor could be the problem, it is running very rich and needed the O2 sensor more than the cat, it was just preventative mntnce (the cat) someone said it may be the fuse for the ignition, I dont know, I am soooo fed up, any suggestions? could there be damage to the dist cap from it being a little loose? or would it have ever worked if that was the case.... is there anything that would have been disconected during the installation of the cat that may be blocked or misconected?
thank you so much for your time...
