Hello,
This is my girlfriend's car - late year model 95 Tracker hardtop.  The problem is that the turn signals AND the Emergency flashers on the drivers side do not work(in the dash, front, & rear).
I checked the front & back light sockets(no loose or bad connections) & replaced the bulbs.  I then replaced the flasher fuse(3 prong) & still have the problem.  The switch does seem to work fine mechanically.

Please help - Thanks

Hi Bill. I need to know if the directional and the brake light are the same bulb or do you have a totally different directional light lens and bulb? I will get back to you as soon i receive your answer. MANNY

ADDITIONAL INFO.

I did not read my email over the weekend - thanks for your time.
The brake light & turn signal(same as the flashers) are different bulbs.
The bulb for the turn signal is only for the turn signal & flasher.
The arrangement is as follows:
Turn signal/Flashers (again - both do not work on the drivers side)
     Driving light/BRAKE LIGHT
     Reverse light
I checked & all other lights were working fine.

Again - thanks & please help,
Bill

Answer
Hi Bill. You need to check for battery positive coming out of the directional light switch, if you have it there, follow it to the first connector and so on so forth. you'll need a wiring diagram for the colors of the wire you are looking for. Have you checked ALL the fuses? It is quite possible that you have a bad directional light switch, cheking for battery positive at that point will tell you for sure, good luck, and please use a digital volt meter and not a test light. It won't make a difference inn this case, but you should get used to using a meter instead of a test light so as not to damage the computer. Let me know how you made out and i will work with you on this further until we find a solution. You should also call you local dealer and ask them if there is a service bulletin for this problem or a recall.
