GMC Repair: rear turn and hazzard signals, gmc sierra, fuse panel

Question
I have a 1998 GMC- Sierra extended 3 door cab 2wd.  What causes the rear turn signals to both go out within 1 week of each other?  I changed the first rear signal (middle-others were fine) bulb and it made no difference the remaining front signal continues to flicker rapidly, with no signal at all in the rear.  While the other rear signal worked fine, at the time.  Now both rear signals are out completely.  I checked the fuse panel at the end of the dash board and all fuses seem to be fine.  What else should I check?  Please help.

Answer
Most of those cars are equiped with wires at the back side of the viacle, those wires are ready to use if you needed to connect a trailer behined. Please check those wires if they got affected by any reason first. You'll find them at the back side of the car, just to the left side of the fule tank. Those wires are connected to the same fuse.
