Acura Repair: Brakes, acura integra, slave cylinders

Question
Every time I'm at a traffic light and my foot is on the break petal, the petal just goes further back, what is wrong with my car and what do I need to do? I have a 1995 acura integra 3 door LS.

Answer
It is very possible that it could be your slave or master brake cylinders. Also check your brake fluid. When was the last time you changed your brake pads?

If your peddle keeps going lower then most of the time it is your brake fluid pressure. Check your fluid level and keep an eye on it, see if it is dropping.

The first thing I would try doing is to bleed your brakes. It's pretty easy to do yourself but if you do not feel comfortable doing it then you can go to a repair shop and it is not expensive. It is possible that their is an air bubble in your system and that is causing it.

So do a break bleed, if it still feels the same way check your lines for a leek. otherwise it could be your master or slave cylinders.
