Acura Repair: overheating, blown head gasket, haynes repair manual

Question
I have an1989 Acura Integra hatchback, 4 cylinder, standard. It started overheating and i changed out the head gasket, installed a new thermostat, and radiator. When i removed the head I could not find anyplace where the gasket had failed.I had the head tested and it was not worped.
It is  still over heating. I bled the air like it said to in the book. I did a compression test on the car and the 2 end cylinders are about 125. The 2 middle cylinders and about 60. I am going to check the valve adjustment but nothing was done to the head except testing it.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Jerry

Answer
i would say make sure you have the correct amount of coolant and water, have the ratio be 50-50. a complete radiator flush would help. the reason the motor is overheating is because the coolant isn't moving to the radiator to cool it down. sounds like a waterpump! :(

fortunately, the are not too hard to fix or get fixed! a Haynes repair manual will be able to walk you step by step through it if you want to do it yourself. it isnt any harder than removing your cylinder head. and if you did remove the head, you might go back and retorque the bolts. there is a pattern if you dont already know, reading them like a book and starting in the middle, it goes 3,8,2,9,4,7,5,1,10,6. there are different torque settings too. first round is 20 footpounds, the next is 35, the next is 45, the next is 53 and finally 61 foot pounds. just trying to prevent a blown head gasket.hope this helps.

also check to see if your spark plugs arent switched around ,2 and 3, that, or bad rings, will result in low compression.
