Alfa Romeo Repair: alfa oil sender, clover leaf, main bearings

hi ste i have recently bought an alfa 145 clover leaf the previous owner bumped a kurb and caught the exhaust bracket resulting in cracking the sump and draining all the oil he switched the car off straight away.having replaced the sump and refilling with oil the oil pressure light comes on on the dashdo you think it needs a oil pump or a oil sender switch. hope you can help

It probably needs an oil pump. take out the pressure sender and briefly start up the engine or replace the sender with a mechanical gauge and briefly start up to see what kind of oil flow and pressure there is.

Of course, it is also possible that the engine ran long enough without oil to wear out the rod and main bearings.
