QuestionHi Stephen, i would just like to know more about my alfa 156 selespeed, its a 2000 year model, every now and then it has an uneven or hi and low idle.its noticable and only does it sometimes.
is that normal? it also sometimes takes a while to take off when standing still(when i accelerate it only starts moving at 1500rpm, it also only happens now and then and it also takes a while to change gears, is it normal?

AnswerNot normal. Probably caused by corroded connections. Try this first, clean the battery terminals and while the cables are disconnected, touch them together for 20", then reattach and see if that did it. Next would be to take apart and clean all ground terminals on engine and body. Then you look at plug connections.
