Hi. she has 74k on the clock and the fuel is fresh. one more thing. she also has a flat spot in 2nd.any cures? appreciate the advice.

Flat spots quite often are related to choice of sparkplug.
I prefer to use champion or ngk and replace within 25k. And the plug gap setting is very important.

Try this.  Disconnect the cables from the battery. Disconnect the negative terminal first.  Clean the terminals with wire brush or sandpaper.  Re-attach the
positive cable. Now take the negative cable and touch it to the positive terminal for 5 or 10 seconds then reattach the negative cable to the negative terminal.  Now, drive for 5 or 10 miles.  This resets the ecu and may solve the
problems.
