QuestionMy CJ does not want to idle very well.
It either idles at very high rpm or stalls.
I can adjust the idle to be fine when the choke is on then when it kicks off it stalls. This CJ has not been run much
intthe past few years, but I am trying to grt it on the road again.
AnswerA few things to check:
1) Try some fresh gasoline. Gasoline looses it "umphh" after sitting for a period.
2) Clean the carburetor, internally. Gas will varnish in the inside of the carb, restricting passages and causing drivability problems. It might require overhauling.
