Questionmy 1979 cj7 ran great until it set in my garage for five months during a total body rebuild without being started.i charged the battery and started it up,but as soon as i tried to give it gas,it would go dead.i have blown through all the fuel lines,installed a new fuel pump,new fuel filter and even a new carburator and nothing has helped.any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks
Answer1) Check your distributor and see if you're getting spark advance.
2) Did you make all the adjustments on the new carb?
i.e. accelerator pump stroke, float level, metering rod adjustment?
3) Is the fuel in the tank contaminated or the pick up sock restricted?
