American Motors: oil to rockers, copper line, arm assembly

Question
I have a 1965 rambler classic wagon whoever had the car put a 2 way valve were the oil send unit goes and run a copper line from one side of the valve up and into the valve cover were its attaches to one of the rocker arm assembly bolts. So basically they were feeding oil up to the rockers need to know why and how to fix  Thanks

Answer
I do not remember if the engine uses solid push rods or is there a hole in each push rod that could be plugged up.

Remove the rocker arm assembly and make sure that the oil galleys are open where the rocker arm shaft sets on the rocker arm shaft cradles. .
