American Motors: 69 AMX Disc Conversion, disc conversion, drum brakes

Question
Hi:
I have a 69 AMX, 434 4 spd, manual drum brakes, and I purchased a set of spindles, rotors and calipers from a 70 amx. I understand they should work. Any thoughts on this? Also, can you steer me in the right direction for the right master cylinder? Can I get a new direct-fit anywhere? Should I convert to power too?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dean

Answer
Dean,
They should work. Spindles, calipers and rotors should bolt up. Use a master cylinder & booster from the 70 AMX, or even a Concord or Hornet. I would also advise using a proprtioning valve and plumbing from an AMX with disc brakes. Don't use a used master cylinder, if possible. Get a rebuilt or new one.
