Audio Systems: splitting sub output, rca splitter, rca output

Question
if your preamp (sound processor alpine PXI-H990) has a single sub rca output.is it better to spit the rca to the left an right of your sub amp (JL audio) or is it better to keep it single to the left or right channel?

Answer
Yes, you can use an rca splitter. I am assuming the sub out is a mono (R + L). If you use a splitting connector then feed to each sub it will work just fine.

Hope this helps.  Good luck with your installation.

PS: Some use two PXI-H990 units and in this case you would put each to one of the subs.
