Audio Systems: 02 Impala, ground ignition, radio harness

QUESTION: I have a factory radio with built in cd player out of a 02 Impala. is there any way to by-pass the thieft control systen so i can install it in a different car (older)?

ANSWER: You need the BCM from the 2002 impala and it will work in your vehicle
or you have to send the radio out to be reprogram, they need to erase the vin number from the radio memory

QUESTION: ok, and thank you.  i have the BCM. but how do i wire it up directly to the radio?

You need the radio harness or the computer harness the important wires to the computer are ground ignition and constant power, the only important wire to the radio is the orange cable, that needs to go to the BCM that is the data power wire and the only wire with voltage
the rest gound and speaker from the radio you can do a normal installation,
there is a single wire from the driver door pin that needs to got to the computer this turn off the radio after you opne the door good luck
