Audio Systems: alpine system, system error message, alpine usa

I have an Alpine DVI-9990 head unit.that connects to an Alpine PXI-H990 pre amp.the connection between the two is through an IONBUS cable and a DVD AUDIO cable.
After installation,when i turn  the head unit on.it displays "system error" message.Any idea whats causing this to happen??

There are long lists of "do not" do this and that in the manual:

I suggest you go back through the installation procedure one by one as you read through the manual to make sure you have completed the rather exotic installation procedures.  Maybe this will resolve the error message you are getting.

I did not look at the head unit but it should not be a part of the problem unless it has some defect within.

The IONBUS and audio cables are merely interconnecting wires and should not be causing any problem so long as they are installed into the correct ports and they are not defective - or the connection points where they mate.

Wish I had a secret formula - hope you find the problem. If the Alpine units are defective you will need to replace them through the warranty policy.
