Audio Systems: Ford Fiesta 2005 Audio System, ford fiesta 2005, radio code

I recently bought a Ford Fiesta (2005) from Japan. The audio system was working until the battery got flat and I had to buy a new one. After fitting the new battery, the audio system indicates that there is power, but the "On" switch does not seem to work anymore. It still accepts Cds and DVDs but does not play. Unfortunately, the audio system is in Japanese and I can't figure out anything. Please help!

Most Japanese cars of this vintage were fitted with coded security radios. It means that if the radio is stolen, for example, the new owner could not make it work without the security code.

So, if this is the case you must obtain the code either from the previous owner or from a Ford dealer.  They can retrieve it for you.  Also, there is are a few companies that specialize in giving out the code for a fee.
