Audio Systems: Stereo Installation Problem, car stereo installation, chevrolet silverado

Question
In my 1997 Chevrolet C2500, I am installing a Dual radio system. I used a converter and matched the wires. However, there is a wire that has no match, called the Lights or the "orange" wire. The radio is not working, and I am starting to believe it is either the wire or the converter harness. What is the diagnosis of the problem?

Answer
Here is a wiring chart:

Here is a typical wiring harness for your vehicle - which can be found, probably, at Walmart, which may help you with the installation process:

Not sure what you mean by "converter" so can't reply to that.

The orange wire, however, seems to be the main power for constant power to the device and the yellow wire is the "turn on" wire coming from the ignition.

Hope this helps.

PS: This site may be more specific for your actual vehicle since I don't know the variation of the vehicle that you specifically have;
