Audio Systems: Outdoor Stereo, boom boxes, boom box

I play on a field sport.  We are looking for a speaker to play during practices, games, etc.  In the past, we have used the "ION Block Rocker Battery Powered Speaker System for iPod" but have had problems with it.  The battery stopped working and the handle snapped within about a week of getting it and the ipod connection has always been finicky.  Do you have any other suggestions of a loud stereo to be used outside?  I also live in Oregon where it rains quite a bit so something with a bit of weatherproofing would be ideal. Any suggestions?

While I can't think of any brands to recommend, look in the tool section of your local Home Depot or Sears (or any big hardware store). They will typically have a selection boom boxes that are geared toward construction worker's needs (rain resistant, heavy duty build, etc). I have a friend that has one (I think is a "Craftsman" branded boom box), and I know he puts it through it's paces (he's an avid outdoorsman). I'd stay away from places like Best Buy, as they are more focused on home gear, and no so much of the heavy duty gear when it comes to build quality.
