QuestionHello my name is Justin, everyone just tries to lead me to one of these options so let me first state that I really really do NOT wish to get a newer stereo, use FM transmitter, or use a tape deck adapter. What i would like to do is directly wire my ipod into the stock stereo of my 94 silverado. Its not a matter of not being able to afford/do any of the first things i mentioned just that the truck is in immaculate condition and i like the stock stereo. If i need to run an amp or anything i can do that easily as well. i just want to know if its needed. my plan was originally just to bridge the speaker output wires of the ipod into the stereo's speaker lines of the stereo but i'd like to know if there's any problems i may be overlooking

I did make a auxiliary audio input into this radio years ago but i lost all the pictures and instruction
the idea was to stop the audio from the tape player into the amplifier and add a audio switcher
this audio audio sensing device will hear the audio coming from the ipod and stop the tape if the ipod stops 10 seconds later the tape plays, your radio is made in 3 parts, the controller
( square box on top of the ac ) tape and eq ( middle of the dash ) and CDM main tuner amplifier radio, this brain is by the accelerator pedal, you have to find the main plug coming from the tape there you will find a double shield wire with 2 audio cables inside, you have to cut them
only the audio cables and add the audio switcher
this is the audio input switch, no manual switch this is electronics with audio sensing nothing manual it was made to stop the audio from the external cd changer going into the radio and to replace that input with any other source,
