Audio Systems: 2005 Chevorlet Silverado stereo system failure, c2r, system failure

My system is OME AM/FM cassette single CD BOSE audio......the CD player will no longer accept a disc or eject.....I wish to replace the unit so I have a working CD player w/ AM/FM......are there easy less expensive aftermarket brands that will fit the existing wiring clips, or must I purchase an original or remanufactured unit that would be around $375.00?......I prefer a unit that will fit the same spot and wiring with no new modifications.......I have successfully removed the old unit without any problems......thank you ....Mike

Yes you can replace it an use any aftermarquet car stereo , you will lose steering controls, and onstar
you also need to use the correct harness or you will lose all the warning from the vehicle
