Audio Systems: FLASHING AUDIO UNIT, chevrolet monte carlo ss, monte carlo ss

QUESTION: Hello Ernesto,
I own a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo ss with factory audio unit-incl.6 cd changer/satellite.After vehicle has been sitting overnight or for 4-6 hours,audio unit lighting dims and brightens off and on every 2-5 seconds.Dash lighting is ok.Also overhead air bag indicator flashes in sequence with audio unit.
Hope you van help.

ANSWER: Did you try to replace the radio ? or have done anything electrical to the vehicle

QUESTION: Hi,
No i have not changed the unit and the vehicle is completely original,no electrical repairs have been done at all.

looks like a BCM problem
this happens when you replace the radio or cluster, in your case it is data coming from the bcm
this radio have no ignition wire and no illumination wire  only constant power and pink wire DATA CABLE this information comes from the BCM
