Audio Systems: Turntable to Computer, turntable preamplifier, stereo turntable

I have an AIWA PX-E860U turntable and I want to hook it up to my IMAC so I can download my albums?

If you have a receiver that you connect the turntable to, look for an aux output. From that, you can run a stereo RCA to 1/8" mini to the input on the back of the iMac (if your receiver has a toslink/optical output - that can be used as well).

If you do not have a receiver with an aux out (sometimes labeled as "Rec Out" or "tape out"), you'll need to get a turntable preamp to go between the turntable and the iMac.
