Audio Systems: Bose Radio,CD & DVD Stereo, 2005 nissan pathfinder, bose systems

Question
I have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder LE that has a BOSE Stereo system 6-CD Changer and the DVD Player also works through this system. The Radio,CD Player and DVD Player seems to be working but No sound comes from the speakers? We have tried to change the Audio fuse but still no sound. What is wrong & what can I do?

Answer
Bose systems are quirky and non-conforming to industry standards.  Some of the Bose systems have the speaker amps mounted right on the speaker.  If the distribution line to feed power to the speaker/amp units has a bad fuse that could do it.  I can't tell you where these fuses would be located but they are different from the main Bose unit fuse.

First would be to check all the fuses in the fuse boxes..... not just the one indicating for radio.  Check both fuse boxes; under the hood and the one inside underneath the dash near the steering column.

In the worst case you may need to go into a neighborhood shop that specializes in car installs and that have experience working on Bose systems.  I doubt if it is a serious repair...... but it could be.

Hope this helps.
