Audio Systems: Stereo Receiver, antenna connections, pioneer vsx

Question
Pioneer VSX-4400 receiver was working fine this morning:  Used tuner, CD player and tape player.  When I switched back to tuner I got no sound.  It changes stations ok but no sound.  Sound is fine on CD and tape.  Tape Monitor 2 is OFF, speakers are ON and I unplugged to reset.  No luck.  Any suggestions will be appreciated and I WILL DEFINITELY read them!

Thank you.

Answer
Do a reset: Unplug the power cord for a full 30 minutes; then power it back up again.

Check the antenna connections on the back making sure you have a good connection.

After checking out all the settings and connections if you still are not getting radio (am and fm) then it may need servicing.  A new tuner module may cost $$$ if still available.  Check with Pioneer about it.

Since this is a "vintage" model it may be difficult to find parts for it. May also be difficult to find anyone wise enough to service it properly.

Let me know if you cannot get it going; tell me your city and maybe I can help you find someone who works with vintage stuff.
