Audio Systems: 2006 Ford Explorer 6-Disc CD Changer, radio move, 2006 ford explorer

Hi,
I came to your website based on a recommendation by the website AllExperts. I have a 2006 Ford Explorer and just had to replace the battery about one week ago. My wife was driving the vehicle yesterday and the CD player stopped working all together. It will not play, eject or accept any CD's at this point. I saw where another person had this same issue and was referred to you.
Would you be willing to lend me your opinion on this issue? I would greatly appreciate it.

replacing the battery restart the radio,
and there is no way for the radio to know the slots are full
so maybe not at the same moment but later when you try to listen to cd 4
and the radio move to that slot to load a cd and surprise it is full
now the radio gets stuck and there is no easy fix the radio needs to be repair
