Audio Systems: upgrade, amplifier system, factory speakers

Question
Ernest - I have a 97 Camry with a Super Tuner III and the 4 factory speakers still in. I'd like to boost things up. First, I understand its pretty hard to get the rear deck speakers out, you have to remove the back seat and on and on to get the grill covers off, they dont pop off from above. If you can do that, then you have to drill new holes for the Pioneer 6x9s I already have. I've found forums that talk about how to remove the back seat but they are unclear and in some cases probably wrong.
Second - if I can get better speakers in there I'd like to add an amp, I would like this system to be LOUD. Years ago in a different car I added an amp to a CD deck, I believe it was a 30 watt amp and there was no improvement in performance. What do you suggest for both issues, the removing of the back speakers and the amp issue.
Thanks.

Answer
Just adding better speakers and more power will not necessarily make the system louder.  You must replace the speakers with ones that have a higher sensitivity, all other things being equal.  That is the secret.  If you have 3db more sensitivity it will be equal to increasing the power of the amplifier by a factor of 2.  That is a better solution; you maybe can stay with the same amplifier system - whatever that is.
