Audio Systems: Differences between Roland and Yamaha keyboard?, amateur songwriter, auto accompaniment

I would like to buy an electronic keyboard for my cousin and would like to ask for major differences between Roland and Yamaha keyboard.

My main aim is to utilize the auto-accompaniment of the keyboard, so that my cousin - an amateur songwriter - could have her song accompanied by the auto orchestra. You know, you only need to play the melody and chords, and then the sounds would come out nicely thanks to the accompaniment. And then, I would need to import the Midi file to a computer for editing.

If that is my main aim, what is your advice?

Either one is fine.

I would recommend you to go to a music store such as Sam Ash and talk with a sales person who can demonstrate these features and let you hear the sound quality differences between the two.  Sound is likely to be important for playing; but for listening to MIDI it is more dependent on the sequencer or playing device.
