Audio Systems: mach 460 stereo, rca outputs, mach system

Question
I have an issue, Not sure if I created it or not. But not sure what to do. I am still reading up on the mach system about the signal to the speakers.

Here we go.  A 98 Mustang GT was brought to me today to install an amp and two 10" subs. these are pioneer items. (no problem)

the original head unit was replaced with an aftermarket unit. It was hooked up to only one of the ford connectors for the four speakers
(they sounded ok). The only thing I am concerned with at this time is to hook into the power up wire and the RCA outputs to the rear subs. ( no problem)

hooked up the amp, 8awg wire to the big fuse and then to the battery, good ground, and then plug in the subs. (sounds good from the subs)

But now I have no sound from any of the other speakers. Through the Mach amp.

Disconnected the head unit from the mach lead, and straight to a speaker. and then tried each speaker seperate. They work from the head unit. but i would like to know why no power from the mach amp now?

Found no fuses popped, and found no reset button. How could this be.

Also remember that the unit worked when it came in. I found two heavy maybe 12awg black wires that had been snipped from the original headunit that look like grounds from two differant places. The guy said that these were hardwired into the ford headunit and that they had to cut them to remove the headunit. he did not have the ford unit with him and not sure were it has ended up at.

I ran these to wires to ground. But it did not make a differance. still no sound through the Mach amp or amps

Any help with this is greatly appriciated.

Thank you

Rich

Answer
this factory amplifier, works almost the same way  like aftermarket  there is a remote wire
the diference is that it take 8 volts from the mach radio to turn on
i am sure you cut that wire or they send 12 volts and now its just difective ,
switch the factory  amplifiers in the trunk
