Audio Systems: integrated amplifier connection, rca jacks, integrated amplifiers

Question
Hi Cleggsan,

I got two integrated amplifiers. One with build-in tuner(lower wattage) and the other is not(higher wattage).

I would like to know if I can connect the output of the one with tuner to the one of high wattage so I can get more speaker output?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Answer
If the tuner model has an audio output (rca jacks) and the high power has aux inputs you can do the feed over as you have proposed.  If the tuner model has no audio line out you would need to pad the speaker outputs down to low lever input to make this connection.

There are many hi-lo adapters available that will do the job.  Here is just one example:

You can google for others.  Walmart used to sell one for around $10 and you can make one with parts from Radio Shack for around $5.00 - if you know how......

Good Luck.
