Audio Systems: Hafler DH 200 Amp, power supply voltage, amp output

Question
No sound from right channel

Answer
First: Do this: Turn amp off.  At the back of the amplifier just reverse the speaker connections; right over to left amp output, left over to the right amp output. Do the same sort of test with the audio inputs to make sure you are getting audio at the input.

IF:  The left channel now has no sound the problem is in the speaker or the wiring to the speaker.

IF:  The right channel is still no sound, then the problem is internal to the amplifier.  You must troubleshoot the amp to find out what has gone wrong with it.  Most common are main output devices and power supply.

You should take it to an experienced audio shop where they can test it and determine what must be done.

If you are technical and have a voltmeter and know how to use it you can check the main power supply voltage outputs to the final amp stages. This will probably lead you to the fault area.
